HER TELLING HEART is a short, period-piece adaptation with a feminist interpretive twist of Edgar Allen Poe's 1843 gothic thriller shortstory "Tell Tale Heart," in which a young woman obsesses about the odd eye of an elderly man to the point of methodically murdering him just to pluck it out. The film, to be shot on the RED ONE digital camera, tells the story in three-dimensionally layered narrative: the present-day narrator, the recollection of the narrator's past as a young woman as she carries out her crime, and flashbacks of the narrator's traumatic past as a young girl.
